Introducing magic vests! These vests are made with a variety of appliqué details, machine free-motion stitching, and hand stitching. They are part of the new “journey” I am taking with my work where I explore some of my own personal healing and inner work with my vision to create more pieces that can act as kind of magic spells, prayers, wishes, whatever word resonates most for you.
These are intended to be special pieces of wearable art made and imbued with a lot of love and intention.
This magic vest includes: a colorwheel on the back, a sun and flowers on the front, embroidered words that say Ram Dass’s famous words “be here now” on the back and hand stitching throughout
made of:
linen and cotton
cotton batting
cotton thread
size 1 vest measurements
(measurements are taken flat, double for the circumferences)
pit-to-pit: 21” (adjustable with the tie)
hem width: 22”
length: 20”
armscye (arm hole): 10.5”
vest sizing and fit details
For the vests, I recommend having 2-6 inches of ease around the bust depending on your desired fit/amount of flowy-ness. Bust measurement is twice the pit-to-pit measurement. Meaning, measure your own bust/chest and select a size that has a bust circumference of 2-6 inches more than your own.
Care instructions:
These pieces are made with a lot of care and thus should be handled with care. These vests should be spot-washed when needed and should not be put in a washing machine or dryer - if they get very dirty, then you can carefully hand wash or take them to a dry cleaner.
