Courage
A quilted wall hanging made of linen and cotton thread with an appliqué lion face, flowers, moon, and embroidered stars. The upper corner features the words "courage dear heart" which is something the lion Aslan says to Lucy in the Chronicles of Narnia which was an incredibly special series to me as a kid. This wall hanging represents the strength and courage we all have within ourselves while the flowers are meant to be a reminder to remain soft.

Materials: linen fabric, cotton batting, cotton thread, wood dowel and cotton rope for hanging
This wall quilt is made of fabric scraps - little leftover pieces from other projects that are too small to be used for other clothes. Fabric scraps that could have very easily ended up in the trash. But instead, they are joined together to make something beautiful. A little reminder, that every little thing can be, and often is, part of something bigger and beautiful. And for me, and maybe for you too, a gentle reminder that even if I feel like a useless little scrap, I too am part of something bigger and beautiful that I might not be able to see yet.
