Into the Wild, Wild West
A quilted wall hanging made of linen and cotton thread inspired by driving through the southwest, specifically New Mexico and Arizona, while on an adventure of self-exploration and inspiration gathering. A road in the forefront passes by a snake and a cactus who are reminders of resilience, creative lifeforce, and enduring love.
Size: 31” x 35”
Materials: linen fabric, cotton batting, cotton thread, wood dowel for hanging
This wall quilt is made of fabric scraps - little leftover pieces from other projects that are too small to be used for other clothes. Fabric scraps that could have very easily ended up in the trash. But instead, they are joined together to make something beautiful. A little reminder, that every little thing can be, and often is, part of something bigger and beautiful. And for me, and maybe for you too, a gentle reminder that even if I feel like a useless little scrap, I too am part of something bigger and beautiful that I might not be able to see yet.
